Swedish manufacturing giant SKF is the world’s largest bearing manufacturer, with over 38,000 employees and a presence in 130 countries.

SKF (Svenska Kullagerfabriken AB) is a Swedish multinational company, founded in 1907 by Sven Wingquist who revolutionised the use of ball bearings. Today, the company also provides industrial seals, lubrication systems and other services, serving more than 40 industries worldwide, both directly and through a network of 17,000 distributors.

SKF has a long history of working with industrial sustainability and aims to achieve net-zero emissions across its value chain by 2050 and fully decarbonize its manufacturing operations by 2030. The company provides clean technology solutions for the industrial transformation, helping industries cut emissions and meet their sustainability goals. SKF is pioneering circular solutions like bearing remanufacturing, RecondOil technology, and partnering with steel mills to produce low-carbon steel.

By joining LeadIT, SKF hopes to accelerate collective progress toward a low-carbon economy by contributing to policy development, supporting member companies, and scaling sustainable practices across global value chains, especially in fast-growing markets like India.
