thyssenkrupp is a large German industrial and technology group with sales in 47 countries in steel, automotive technologies, plant technologies, marine systems and shipbuilding sectors.

The result of a merger in 1999 between two companies founded in the 1800s with steel production origins, thyssenkrupp is now an international industrial and technology group with around 98,000 employees. Its business activities are divided into five segments:

  • Automotive Technology,
  • Decarbon Technologies,
  • Materials Services, Steel Europe
  • Marine Systems.

Thyssenkrupp Steel produces about 11 million tonnes of crude steel per year – making it Germany’s largest flat steel manufacturer.

With a focus on climate protection and the energy transition, thyssenkrupp is pursuing ambitious climate protection targets and is actively optimising its own energy and climate efficiency. The group is also supporting its customers with advanced products to help them achieve their climate targets, thus playing a key role in advancing the green transformation.

We need to intensify collaboration in our industry and beyond. Creating alliances is the surest way to build the necessary confidence to act faster and bolder when it comes to decarbonisation. thyssenkrupp is fully committed to the green transformation. By building a green industrial powerhouse of interconnecting technologies, we turn from being part of the climate change problem to becoming an integral part of the solution.
